Wireless Systems
It is not always possible or practical to hard-wire a full security alarm system in all residential properties, therefore Wireless alarms can be used as an alternative to a hard-wired system.
Wireless Systems still use the same components as a hard-wired system, like PIRs, keypads and sirens, however, wireless systems transmit their status through the air waves, making it possible to protect areas such as detached garages, sheds, boats, caravans etc.
Wireless Systems may also be used for aesthetic purposes; Fortress Security takes pride in our work and understands that clients would prefer not to see unsightly cables or trunking in their newly-refurbished home or property. We are able to identify during the initial site visit whether or not a Wireless System is required.
Hand-held wireless remotes can also be included in an alarm system. These can be attached to a key-ring and can arm or disarm the system, activate the sounders, or used to open and close an automated garage door or gate.
Wireless audio and video intercom systems are also available and are very popular in residential applications. Wireless Intercom systems give the resident the ability to communicate with a visitor using a portable audio/video device, with an option to remotely open a door or gate.
